Ursuline Education Community Employment Opportunity
The Ursuline Sisters seek a Director for the Ursuline Education Community. The ideal candidate will have experience in a school or parish setting and a strong ability to inspire young people. The role involves working with students and staff across six Ursuline schools and with the Ursuline Links Director. It would suit an experienced Lay Chaplain.
The UEC Director’s key responsibility is to keep the Ursuline Mission and Identity vibrant within the school community.
Working Hours - 37.5 hours per week
Location – Forest Gate, East London, with flexible home working and regular visits to the six schools.
Contract - Permanent
Salary - £38,500 - £41,500 PA
Annual Leave - 33 days’ holiday per year, pro rata, including bank holidays.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Work with the Ursuline Delegate and Trustees to set the strategic direction for the Virtues programme, aligned with the charity’s goals.
· Build a strong understanding of the Ursuline Links Programme so it can work alongside the UEC Virtues Programme to develop the Ursuline ethos from Year 7.
· Review current Virtues initiatives strategically, supporting their development and implementation across the schools.
· Ensure the Virtues programme gives students a strong foundation in human virtues, enriching school life and helping them become reflective, discerning, and generous young adults.
· Ensure the Virtues programme remains relevant to students and staff of all faith and non-faith backgrounds.
